Beautifully illustrated with an array of Australian birds, and simple accompanying script. The size of the book is friendly size for little ones to manage and I love the somewhat softened, muted palette of the pages, rather than stark white contrast. I would LOVE to see this book as a board book in the future for wee readers and young bird fanciers!

My granddaughter loves birds. She loves ‘I am a magpie’. She loves the rhyme of this book and is learning to identify the birds that visit our bird feeder and birdbath by name. Miss Tillie Bug is 2yrs old. We have Eastern Rosella’s so she’s also learning differences.

I'm not sure who's more excited to read it, myself or my grandchild who I'll be reading it too.

The quality of this book, has to be held to be believed. I have purchased 1 for my neighbour, who is delivering a baby in October, and 1 to put on my bookshelf, in case We have Great Grandchildren.
