Original Etching - Golden-headed Cisticola

 A beautiful golden-headed cisticloa that I met a few years ago at the Werribee Western Treatment Plant. A goldmine for bird watchers! I had never seen this bird before and it really stuck in my mind. Its subtle beauty and gorgeous colour. I snapped a photo of it and created this etching from my little muse. 

This piece was a bit experimental, playing with acid painted onto the plate for the background tone. You can watch videos of my process in my instagram account.

This is an original dry point etching, inked up by hand and pulled through my printing press on Hahnemulhe cotton rag paper. 

This etching is sold unframed and unmatted.  Please note, the edition number you will receive will not necessarily be the one pictured.
