Original Etching - Budgies II

Two little budgies that I met at my friend Tanya's house. 

Tanya rescues birds and has a wonderful big aviary (that I once accidentally got locked into, but that's another story!) full of beautiful birds who have been given a second chance. 

This is a 'ghost print' or a fainter edition of 'Budgies I'. A ghost print is when a second print is taken from the plate without it being inked up again. I don't normally make ghost prints as they are normally too faint, but the first print of this plate is so brightly coloured that a ghost print was achievable.

To make this ghost print three plates were inked up and a printed on top of each other for the initial print (Budgies I).
