Original Etching - Superb Fairywren I
The nation's favourite little bird - the blue wren, or more accurately a male superb fairywren.
I had a moment of magic a few weeks ago. A little male fairywren flew into my studio through my open big, green, barn doors. He alighted on my printing press and just sat there, bold as anything, puffing out his chest. I took it as a sign and promptly started making three new drypoint plates depicting fancy blue fairywrens! I've managed to edition two of these plates and both are now listed. This is one of them!
This is an original drypoint etching, inked up by hand and pulled through my printing press on Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper.
This etching is sold unframed and unmatted. Please note, the edition number you will receive will not necessarily be the one pictured. Your original print will arrive flat, wrapped in tissue paper nestled between thick greyboard card.
