The Bush Birds card game consists of 48 cards - 4 sets of 12 designs depicting different native Australian birds commonly found in open forests and woodlands...

The cards come in a sturdy 2 piece box.

Included are instructions on how to play a number of different games, such as Go Fish (Go Birding!), snap and memory games, as well as encouraging players to invent their own games with the cards. There are also 4 info cards with details about each bird.

Birds included in this game - White-browed Scrubwren, Red-browed Finch, White-winged Chough, Spotted Pardalote, Diamond Firetail, Scarlet Robin, Grey Shrikethrush, Brown Treecreeper, Golden Whistler, Dusky Woodswallow, White-plumed Honeyeater, Fantailed Cuckoo.

The cards are a large size, measuring 9 x 13cm. 

The illustrations are all created from dry point etchings which have been hand coloured with watercolour paints.

I don’t know why I was surprised by the absolute artistry and quality of these gorgeous cards. Just so stunning, so many ways to play with them and so much to learn and remember! We love these, ALMOST too pretty to play with.

Bush Birds card game

I purchased these cards and the book for my 10yo grandson. He loves them. He’s very interested in birds and loves drawing so he will get a lot of enjoyment from the set.
