I bought this book (along with I Am A Magpie, I Am A Currawong) as a gift for my husband (a bird enthusiast) to share with our new grandson one day. They are both beautiful books and hopefully will be a lovely childhood experience for the new member of our family.

Each one of the patches is too big for suitable spots on my my camera back pack. It doesn't matter at all though. I'll eventually figure out something to attach them on. In the meantime I'll just be pleased I've got them to go with my Bird Nerd iron on.

My partner and I initially pre-ordered this book before it came out. We both loved its artful illustrations and playful overview of various Australian birds.
We've bought this bundle to give as a gift to our niece for her birthday, and given her already strong interest in learning, we have no doubt she will love it as we do.

“Beach Birds” was bought for my great grandsons 6th birthday in August so he doesn’t have it yet but I know he’s going to love this as much as he likes “I am Currawong, I am Magpie” which I bought him for Christmas. He lives at the beach so I’m hoping he gets to see and recognise some of the birds of this book.
I’m loving the information you have in the back pages about every bird in the book. This is a series worth buying as it is so beautiful. The illustrations are amazing. The whole series is definitely bookshelf worthy.
