I've heard black cockatoos are a portent for rain. I do love these stories and how various animals and birds are connected to events. 

 

Whenever I hear that beautiful slow cry of a yellow-tailed black cockatoo I rush out of my studio to see if I can see them. I always feel graced with their presence and it gladdens me.

 

This is a large original dry point etching, inked up by hand and pulled through my printing press on Hahnemulhe cotton rag paper. Each number in the edition is slightly different due to the rain effect. This is why the edition is marked as E.V. which means Editions Variable. 

It is sold unframed and unmatted. Please note, the edition number you will receive will not necessarily be the one pictured. Each etching in this edition may vary slightly. 

This piece will be shipped rolled in a postal tube.

Bridget Farmer's products are beautiful. I was waiting for this series to come up again and was very happy when I saw Bridget had used a technique to bring "rain" into the etching - you can watch on her social media pages. A Limited Edition Series of 14 for this run - I purchased 3 and they'll be framed after Christmas. Arrived very quickly and packaged for complete product protection. Very impressed all round.
